Alyssa Zavocki is a visual artist whose work delves into her relationship with femininity and the female experience. She received her BA from the University of West Florida in Studio Art and Communication.  She uses abstract figurative sculptures to explore the interplay between herself and her environment through a female perspective. The malleable and organic qualities found in clay make it the perfect medium to tell the story of the female experience. She uses the imagery of quilts to explore femininity on a historical scale. These recognizable patterns and shapes use their inherent narrative qualities to examine the intimacy found in the shared experiences of women throughout history. During her time at the University of West Florida, Alyssa received numerous scholarships and awards, including "Best in Show" and the "Arrowmont Windgate Scholarship"
